Graduation Information Memo

Parents/Guardians

The following is a list of important information pertaining to the upcoming Graduation Celebrations:

Cap & Gown

The Cap and Gown ceremony will be held in the School gymnasium on Sunday, May 20th , 2012 at 2:30pm. Graduates are asked to meet at the Music room no later than 1:15pm to prepare for the group photo. Gowns will be in the music room when you arrive and must be returned there after the service.  This service is open to the public, all family and friends are welcome. Refreshments will be served in the lunchroom following the service.

Graduation Banquet

The Graduation banquet is scheduled for Friday evening, May 25th,2012 at 7:00pm. Graduates are asked to be in the music room at 6:20pm for the group photo in their formal wear. The seating arrangements will be done by the school secretary based on the forms completed by each Grad.

Grand March

Grand March, special dances and crowing of the King and Queen will be held at approximately 10:30pm following the banquet. Entrance for this will be through the doors at the end of the building, Entrance through the front doors will not be permitted except for family members with health concerns that will not allow for the wait in the hall. Please respect this rule as the congestion that happens at the main entrance in previous years has posed serious safety concerns. As well the noise level with the gathering crowd in that area has been very disruptive for the guests attending the Graduation banquet.

Safe Grad

Safe Grad is a drug and alcohol free event that gives the Graduates a safe place to have fun and celebrate their special event. It promises to be chocked full of fun , food and great times. Students are to be in the gym by 12:30 am when the doors close. They will not be permitted to leave unless a parent or guardian is notified.

Decorating

Decorating preparations have begun. We will need all the assistance we can get to have all our ideas and planning come to life. All parents and graduates are encouraged to help in any way they can. It is a great opportunity to mingle, have some fun and make some memories as you prepare for this special event. We will start to decorate the gym after lunch on Wednesday to Thursday night. Exact times will be conveyed as they are confirmed. Please ask your child to listen for updates on those times.

Outstanding fees

All fees should be paid by now. If for some reason you still have not paid them in full, please make arrangements to have them paid. Graduation is fast approaching and our bills must be paid immediately.

Reminder

As was previously conveyed there are no extra tickets available for the banquet. We are still getting asked this question. There is no room in the gym to sit extra guests.

Pictures

Appointments have now been booked for Graduation day. A note with the pricing has been distributed.

Each pose taken will be printed as a $25 package or as a 5x7 print for $10 each. Number of poses is up to the individual. So individual prices depend on the number of poses and package/print selected. A class group  photo will sell for $15. All prices include taxes. All money is to be paid to photographer at time of photo session. If you have more questions please call 1-800-563-6681.

With a large graduating class it is extremely important that all appointments run on time. Each session is only allotted only 10 minutes. The photographer will not guarantee that photos will be taken if you are late.

Please show up for your appointment at least 10-15 minutes before your  scheduled booking.
